Online tool

To determine which termination of pregnancy is the best choice in your case, you can use the online tool. This first calculates the duration of the pregnancy based on the last menstrual period, sexual intercourse or ultrasound value. An example. If the first day of your last period was less than 5 weeks ago, you will receive the following advice: “You are at most 6 days late and your pregnancy is still very early. If you have not yet taken a test, buy a pregnancy test from the pharmacy or chemist. Does this show that you are pregnant? Then make an appointment at one of our clinics. (…) ” A doctor’s referral is not necessary. In terms of treatment, you have the choice of suction curettage or the abortion pill. You can read more about abortion pill costs here. With a suction curettage, you will be given a local anaesthetic or a so-called intoxication which puts you to sleep briefly.

Making an appointment

You can make an appointment at the Haarlem and Amsterdam abortion clinics by telephone. You can call 023 – 528 98 90 on weekdays between 09.00 and 16.45 hours. If you are calling from abroad, please dial +31 23 528 98 90. The Haarlem clinic is within walking distance of Heemstede-Aerdenhout train station. For the Amsterdam branch, travel to Amsterdam Muiderpoort train station or Weesperplein metro station and from there it’s a short walk. Coming by car? There are free parking spaces in Heemstede. In Amsterdam, for example, you can park your car in the Louise Wentstraat behind the clinic (NB: paid parking).
